Your script, pinned over the call

Start a script for a call and Miracue opens small and docked instead of taking over the screen. Press the pin and it lifts into a little window that stays on top of Zoom, Teams or Meet: the words sit right under your camera, and what everyone else sees is eye contact.

Click the words to pause, click again to carry on. Your place is kept while the conversation runs, and voice follow waits with you while you answer questions.

Add Miracue to Chrome and the teleprompter opens in the browser's side panel, next to whatever tab you are working in. The call stays where it is and the words sit in a column beside it, following your voice or scrolling at the speed you set.

It is the same prompter and the same on-device voice follow. Scripts you paste stay on that computer, and if you are signed in on miracue.app your library is there too.

It follows what you actually say

Press the microphone button and read. The script moves when your spoken words match the text, holds still while you ad-lib, and comes back to meet you when you re-read an earlier line. It does not need the exact words, so a changed phrase or a skipped line never stalls the read. Recognition runs inside your browser and your audio never leaves the device.

A library that survives a shoot day

Scripts show their own opening lines, so you recognise the one you want without opening three. Folders by client or project, search across everything, and with a free account what you tidy at a desk is already on the iPad when you walk on set.

  • Choose several at once, then move, share or bin the lot
  • Drag a script into a folder, or drag a whole selection
  • Swap to a list on the day: tick scripts off as you shoot them, and the next one to film carries the play button

The paperwork sits beside the script

Open a script and the panel beside it holds the shoot: the B-roll still needed, what happened on each take with a spoken note for the editor, and a phone on the same account as a second screen so the iPad never leaves the script. Shots, takes and voice notes are part of Miracue Pro; chapters are free for everyone.

  • Shots. Tick cutaways off as they are captured, and print the script with its shot list on one sheet
  • Takes. Star the keeper and leave a note for whoever cuts the film, per take or across them
  • Voice notes. Say it instead of typing it. The note travels with the script, and can transcribe itself on your device
  • Chapters. Drop one while reading and jump straight back to it, from the keyboard, the buttons down the edge of the prompter, or a number pad. They show in the margin of the script as you write

Can I use it on Zoom, Teams or Google Meet?

Yes. Start a script for a call and it opens small and docked instead of full screen. On Chrome or Edge on a computer, the pin floats it in a little window that stays on top of the call; click the words to pause, and your place is kept. Every free account includes three pinned calls, and Pro keeps the pin.

Is Miracue really free?

Yes. The teleprompter is free: no time caps on voice control, nothing to cancel, and you can use it without an account. A free account adds your library on any device you sign in on, share links for presenters, and QR handoff. The shoot-day toolkit - shot lists, takes and voice notes - is part of Miracue Pro.

Can you see my scripts?

If you use Miracue as a guest, no. Your scripts stay in your browser, on your device, and never reach us.

With a free account, your scripts are stored with us so they can open on any device you sign in on. They are encrypted at rest and we hold the keys, so a stolen copy of our database would be unreadable - said plainly: we protect them, but they are not beyond our reach. The exception is a share link, whose key lives inside the link itself and never reaches us at all.

Which devices and rigs does it work with?

Any modern browser on iPad, Android, Windows, Mac or Linux, with nothing to install; add it to your desktop or home screen and it opens like an app. Mirror modes cover beam-splitter rigs, the screen stays awake for the whole take, and Bluetooth clickers, number pads and foot pedals give hands-free control.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, once it has loaded with a connection. Open Miracue while you have internet, at home or on the hotel WiFi, and the app keeps itself on your device: it opens without any internet, guest scripts work fully, and a signed-in library keeps a reading copy on the device too, so synced scripts open offline. Tap the microphone once while you still have internet and the voice model is stored as well. Editing a signed-in script still wants a connection; offline is for reading.

What does voice follow need?

It listens on your device: speech recognition runs inside your browser, nothing you say is sent anywhere, and the model downloads once, about 65 MB, then stays. Because it runs locally it works best on a computer or a higher-memory iPad such as an Air or Pro; on a standard iPad or phone the browser may end a long voice session, while scrolling and remotes work fully everywhere.
